Meet the Artist
Faye Tassviri is a realist, self-taught artist based in La Jolla, USA. Faye is known for her picturesque portrayal of wildlife, landscapes and nature.
She created a legacy for herself with her artistic sensibility & honesty that manifested through her paintings. Much of her works are inspired by the ‘transitional propensity of nature, creativity, and imagination’.
Through her distinctive personal style, Faye loves to create her paintings starting from a background story & that 'story' in turn creates a breakthrough work of art. The most incredible fact of her canvases is the tangibility of her art so much that it becomes arduous to differentiate the painting from a photograph.
Faye has mastered the skill of creating her own vivid colours by mixing primary colours which forms the base of her spectacular paintings.
Born in Iran, Faye immigrated to the US in 1969 and joined Northwestern State University soon after. She graduated from there with a Bachelor of Arts degree in the year 1973. Although Faye had begun painting as a teenager, it was only during the last year of her University, when Faye took to the canvas to unwind herself from those strenuous days. Painting to Faye was like meditation which became her passion and there was no looking back for her ever since.
In 1975, Faye graduated from Phillips University with an MBA degree and by the end of 1982 she had completed her Masters in Elementary Education (MED). Later, in 1994, to add another feather in her robust and diverse portfolio, she received a Masters of Arts Degree in Psychology from the US International University, San Diego. In 2018, she took up a PsyD course in her PHD program which she is presently continuing.
Faye has been working as a real estate broker associate at California First Realty & Financial for the past 30 years.
Faye Tassviri’s followers acknowledge her as a woman with kindness & compassion. She has an ultimate zest to live the fullest life that mirrors through her artistic inception. Faye is a dynamic personality full of energy. When she is not painting she loves to travel and is an ardent traveller having journeyed half the world so far, the influence of which, reflects in many of her creations. She also enjoys swimming in her free time. Faye lives a blissful personal life with her husband, two sons and a daughter, and her seven grandchildren.
All of Faye’s creations have a story behind them and encompasses her imagination. Faye has a distinctive style of portraying detailed and realistic wildlife in its natural environment. She is known for her large paintings of wildlife and landscapes. She has also transitioned herself to a more impressionistic style creating portraits.
After 40 years of creating fascinating and enthralling paintings, Faye is now starting her professional art career.
